Taqueria San Bruno has been my favorite taqueria in the Bay Area ever since I tried it 5+ years ago. It's a popular spot and the lines can get very long during lunch and dinner. But the staff are always very friendly and the food is always consistently good so it's worth the wait. My favorite item on the menu is the super burrito with shrimp and carne asada. The price has been climbing up. It was $13 the first time I ordered the burrito and now it's up to $16. But even at $16, I still think it's a great value. The meat quality is great and they portions are generous. And unlike most taquerias in the area, your meal comes with complementary chips and salsa. Speaking of salsa, the salsa verde here is perfection! It's spicy but pairs wells with everything on the menu. Parking is extremely difficult to find near the restaurant. There's one spot in front of the restaurant that is reserved for quick pickups but otherwise, you'll likely have to walk a block or two to find a spot.

It was a supper burrito. It was okay. I had the tongue which is extra money. I think extra $3. I am not crazy about the taste. I gave 4 stars because the cashier was so nice and they had a condiment self service bar. The place is small. Parking is hard, but on sunday late afternoon, there were spots. They were fast in fulfilling the orders. The avocado was good. They were generous with the meat..

A true hole in the wall experienced!! Nested by the freeway and surrounded by industrial buildings. I would not have expected a Mexican place here. I was surprised at the crowd and how the lines kept forming! I ordered a super burrito and a taco. They were delicious!! Full of flavor!

Was in the area and craving Mexican. Saw the hype for this place and stopped by. It's a hole in the wall mom & pop place in kind of a shady commercial area. Street parking is hard to find, we ended up parking in a nearby Fedex delivery lot. It was the weekend, so I don't think they cared if we parked there. Definitely kind of a sketchy place to park though, at least that's what it felt like. The service was friendly with a smile and good hospitality. Took our order quick. What we liked: - The salsas! There were a lot of options and all were tasty. Green salsa was the winner for sure though. Seems like it's a guac based salsa - so much guac! We ordered a side of guac and were surprised with the sheer amount of guac they served us. Definitely generous, was the first time we couldn't finish the guac - good flavor for the tacos overall, especially when you douse them with their salsa. would recommend - unlimited amount of salsa and the salsa cups were big enough to hold a decent amount of salsa. What needs work/what can be improved/meh/odd: - the wait time! We waited about 15-20 mins to receive our order. - too much cheese! they sprinkle what looks like shredded mozzarella cheese over all the tacos and they put so much that you can't even see the taco lol. - The bathroom was so tiny, I don't think you could sit on the toilet without your butt touching the side walls lol. Thankfully I just needed to wash my hands - chips didn't seem fresh. Weren't stale, but seemed like they came from the big bag that Costco sells across the street Overall this place didn't blow our mind, but we don't regret eating here, it's decent enough if you're in the area.

Small place near an industrial/business complex area. Not the most conveniently located place. I didn't see a parking lot but you can find street parking around the area. Came here early on a Sunday morning to try their breakfast burrito and there was no one else so it was quick to order and get my food. It's a pretty big burrito and they also provide a bag of tortilla chips. The burrito is phat. Not the best breakfast burrito ever but it's decent. The burrito was kind of dry and not much flavor to it. Tortilla chips were ok. Not the best and not the worst. But I really liked their salsa bar. They had a good variety of salsas and they also have lime, radish, and carrots available. Breakfast burrito was ok but the portion size was huge with a great salsa bar. I'd come back to try the other items on the menu.

Originally found Taqueria San Bruno through Yelp. It's become a go-to for years now. Quick tip: trust Yelp. What Makes It Special: The asada burrito with green and diabla salsa. It's that good first bite that says it all. Order Recommendations: - Burritos & Quesadillas: Don't skip the guac. - Salsas: Green for freshness, diabla for a kick. The Spot: A humble shop with potentially difficult street parking that says, "We know our stuff." Why I Keep Coming Back: The food no question. But also great vibes and service that make it more than just a meal. Even a super last-minute before closing visit feels welcoming. Must-Tries: - Asada, Pastor, and Shrimp: Non-negotiable. They're that good. Grilled chicken is delish, too - Salsa Diabla: For those who want heat with flavor. Overall: Taqueria San Bruno nails it every time for me. It's a super solid choice, earning a strong 9.4/10 from me locally. Worth a visit, and many more.
