Very good lunch special meal set with chirashi and an assortment of sides. Everything tasted great, fish was very fresh, generous portions and uni was delicious. Service was very friendly and there's so many options available to try for next time.

The moment I stepped in the door I could sense the happy ambience, the camaraderie, emanating from the sushi bar... It was very politely and courteously explained to us, by Kyala's host, via a call 20 minutes before, that our 8pm reservation had to be pushed back 15 minutes to allow for guests who had long ago finished their meals, but stayed over for good conversation and drinks. No problem. It was clear a good time was being had and the staff was more than happy to accommodate us with a table for the time being so my lovely better half and I could partake in some libations. When initially calling in to make my Omakase reservation I was asked which chef I wanted to sit in front of. It was my first visit so I let them know that and asked for their best recommendation. When our spots finally opened up at the sushi bar we were pleasantly surprised to learn we had the good fortune of being seated in front of none other than, Mori-san, Kyala's Owner & Chef. Mori-san is one of those people you feel right off the bat is a good hearted person. He was so polite and courteous as he asked questions exploring if we had any food allergies, likes, dislikes, favorite flavors, and fish my girlfriend and I liked, as he began to formulate a custom Omakase experience for us. Every flavor a sensory adventure with umami so rich you grab it from the air. Every backstory to every dish or fish intriguing. Every dish passed before us devoured. Every person sitting at the sushi bar engaging, friendly, with proud stories of how they found this small island of Japanese cuisine delight. Nearly every party buying drinks for Mori-san and his crew throughout the evening it was evident how well respected they are. The professionalism of the staff at Kyala is second to none. Not once did my tea cup EVER empty. Not once did my wasabi or ginger ever get completely finished before being replenished. By the end of the night I was pleasantly happy to learn most of his staff working the floor were actually family. I will say that the experience, not just the food, the EXPERIENCE was worth every penny and we will without question be back!! Thank you Kyala, Mori-san, and family for the most amazing culinary adventure!!

I found this place a few months back and the sign advertising their chirashi special caught my eye. I brought my dad with me and was pleasantly surprised with this Japanese owned restaurant. Service was kind and attentive. Food was brought out not too long after we ordered. I enjoyed the variety of dishes in the chirashi special. The salmon skin salad was refreshing with a ponzu sauce. Chawanmushi was light and delicate with bits of fish and mushrooms in it. Tempura was average but it will hit the spot. The Chirashi had a good variety of white fish and even blue crab/uni/ukura to top it off. I will definitely be returning.

Just to the left of Walmart, is this home in the wall Japanese restaurant. First time and came to meet my friend who's been here before. We got that special that was $120/person that was Chef's choice (forgot the Japanese word for it). Everything was made fresh and all the sushi was the freshest I've ever tasted. They do ask if you have any allergies or anything you don't eat. Luckily we both eat everything! We got to have a few appetizers, sushi pieces that we've never tried before. Most were pre-seasoned and we were told not to dip it in soy sauce and wasabi. There was raw fish, raw seafood, even the sweet shrimp where we had the choice to deep fried the shrimp head or use it in a soup. It was hands down one of the best sushi meals I've had in a long time. I love that it wasn't fancy but yet the quality of food and service was all there!

It's one of our favorite sushi spots. It's small and can be tricky to get a spot on weekends, we had to wait the first time we went, but so worth it! The staff is really nice and try to get a seat at the bar. Decently priced for the quality of sushi. Highly recommended spot.

The food was great, but the service was SO slow. Our appetizer came after our meal. The place is a little small and it gets really warm.
